1.Sugar levels:

Keep your sugar levels under control.

2. Foot inspection:

Watch your feet daily. Ask for some help if needed. Pay attention if developed some hard skin, blisters, wounds, swollen areas, etc.

3. Washing:

Wash your feet every day with lukewarm water and neutral soap. Dry your feet, especially the area between the toes.

4. Stop corn plasters:

Avoid using corn plasters or irritant products such as alcohol . acids to remove callus, etc. If you need to use some tape, choose a hypoallergenic one.

5. Moisturizing:

 Keep your skin soft and moisturised. Use some footcream to prevent cracked heels.

6. Keeping your skin smooth:

File your nails weekly (as straight as possible to avert ingrown toe nails) using a soft foot file. 

7. Say no to barefooting. The importance of good socks:

Keep your feet protected from the cold and heat. Avoid walking barefoot on the beach or warm surfaces because you may injure your foot without realizing it.Wear socks with a non-binding cuff

8. Wear appropriate footwear:

Use shoes at and outside home. Gradually, break in your new shoes or foot orthoses . Socks should not be too tight.

9. Exercise daily and follow a balanced diet:

Walk and exercise daily. Keep a balanced diet. Rest with your legs and feet up and down for 5min 2-3 times a day. All to keep you in good spirits.

10. Visit the specialist:

Ask the podiatrist or GP if some help or advice is needed.Visit the foot specialist regularly. Let´s make your feet resilient
